Diesel Performance Product Guide & Store

There are many diesel performance parts and products out there. Which one is right for you? Huckstorf Diesel has spent lots of time doing the research and testing many products so you don't have to. From diesel performance chips, to tuners, to modules, to intake systems, and exhaust systems we know what works and we will be happy to sort out your options. We took the time to break it down for you into sections and give you options and suggestions in each of those sections. In the Performance area there are truck specific products that make the power. The Exhaust area has complete systems or individual parts so you can build your own custom exhaust or stack kit. We offer a wide variety of Gauges & Holders to monitor what is going on with your truck. The Air Intake System section is also broken down by truck brand so you can easily find the right one. Ford 7.3L Diesel Performance 

The Ford 7.3L Powerstroke is a very reliable and responds well to power upgrades.  Even a small increase in power in the 60 to 70 HP range makes a noticeable difference and you won't ever want to run stock again.  Upgrades beyond the 70 HP mark require exhaust gas temperature (EGT) monitoring, especially when used for towing.  Exhaust upgrades will reduce the increased EGT's created when power is added.  On the 94-97 trucks the turbo down pipe is very restrictive and we recommend replacing it even on a stock truck.  All 7.3L trucks have a restrictive exhaust from the factory, and benefit from a high flow exhaust system.

• Tuners (products that reprogram the factory computer) are easy to use and will work like scan tools for pulling and erasing engine error codes.
• Chips (products that piggy back onto the factory computer) offer larger horsepower gains and can change between power levels on the fly.
• Modules (products that plug into sensors under the hood) are not as popular with 7.3L Powerstroke owners due to limited power capability.  These can be stacked with either a chip or tuner when those are not enough power by themselves.

Our most popular combination is the TS six position chip with an exhaust system.  Typically people set it to the four or five setting, which is approximately 75 - 100 HP.  With the upgraded exhaust they will not run into EGT problems.  This combination is great to drive and will typically increase mileage by 2 to 4 MPG.  If you tow heavy (more than 6000 pounds) a set of gauges is needed.   For racing or performance applications the sky is the limit.  2001 and newer engines suffer from less durable connecting rods, but there are fixes for everything.

TS Performance six position chips are manufactured by, and programmed with TS Performance programming.

They are available in 2-6 position settings. Your choices of programs are Stock, High Idle, Valet, 50hp, 75hp, 100hp, 140+ Extreme.

• 50hp program - This program is great for added horsepower while towing heavy loads.
• 75hp program - Perfect for the tower that wants just a little more hp and is a great mileage tune.
• 100hp program - This program is fine for light to moderate towing and just plain going fast!! This is our high performance chip. For Off Road use only.
• 140hp Extreme program - This program was dynoed at 140hp to the rear wheels.  For Off Road use only.

GT

Juice Module with Attitude Controller

The Juice module is a completely weatherproof module that installs underneath the hood. Using factory-style connections, in just 20 minutes you can add five levels of power ranging from 25 to 75 horsepower and increase torque up to 200 ft. lbs with Attitude monitor attachment installed. The Juice greatly improves responsiveness and drivability, while at the same time increasing fuel economy. The Attitude monitor gives you control of the five power levels on the fly. The Attitude displays exhaust temperature, boost, engine RPM, and back down percent when it is in a de fuel mode.  The Juice / Attitude combination will automatically monitor exhaust gas temperature (EGT) and de-fuel the engine to prevent excessive EGT.  This is a module style upgrade that installs under the hood, and it can be stacked with a tuner style that reprograms the factory computer.  When stacked, the power gains will not be as great as if it were installed separately.
