Chevrolet / GMC FASS Diesel Fuel Supply Pumps
GM Duramax trucks were designed without a fuel supply pump. The fuel is drawn from the tank, through the factory fuel filter, into a pump which supplies the high pressure pump that feeds the rails the injectors are connected to. Under high demand, especially when performance enhancers are added, the injectors can use up all the fuel supplied to them. If there are any restrictions in the fuel supply there will not be enough fuel for the demand. By adding a fuel pump near the fuel tank and pressurizing the line through the factory fuel filter to the low pressure pump, you eliminate fuel supply issues in all but the most extremely high horsepower situations where two high pressure pumps are required to accommodate fuel demand.
FASS Platinum Series
You can expect the same high quality systems that FASS is known for at a lower cost with the new Platinum Series. FASS came up with a new product using their technology and quality to design a smaller version of the fuel air separation systems. A completely new base for the system was used in order to keep size to a minimum. The fuel filter and water filter are now combined and still maintains the quality air separation. The Platinum Series was designed for the light truck applications in mind. The Platinum will cover stock to moderate performance applications.
FASS Titanium Series & HD Series
Huckstorf Diesel stocks the Titanium Series (Formerly 95 Series) and the HD Series (Formerly 150 Series) systems. The space saving design and cost savings of the 95 series are the way to go for street trucks. If you have to go bigger the 150 series is for you. Both use the same 1/2" fuel line, but the 95 series pump has 3/8" MPT pipe fittings and the 150 uses 1/'2" MPT pipe fittings. The 150 is physically larger and heavier, and the filters are larger also.
For moderate to extreme trucks, more fuel is required. For those applications we offer the 150 series in 150, 200, and 240 gallon per hour flow rate versions. The 150 GPH is recommended for 600-800 HP, the 200 GPH is recommended for 800-1100 HP, and the 240 GPH is recommended for 1000 HP and up. Higher gph systems are only for extreme trucks and will have problems when the fuel tank level is low.
A Lifetime Warranty is available for most applications when you return their enclosed registration form with a copy of your sales invoice. Huckstorf Diesel sells FASS products and the minimum allowed pricing. Any sales invoice at a lower price than what Huckstorf Diesel sells it for will not be eligible for the FASS lifetime warranty.
FASS Fuel Pumps
Huckstorf Diesel also offers the FASS Fuel Pumps. These come in a variety of flow rates with set or adjustable fuel pressures. These can be used to build your own custom setup with your own fuel filter and water separator.
The adjustable versions give you the ability to choose the fuel pressure you want from 0 to 80 PSI depending on which one you choose. The non-adjustable pumps have the fuel pressure set for 13 or 15 PSI depending on which one you choose. Click on the picture below to see the information for that unit.

The factory fuel pickup in the tank is restrictive when greater amounts of fuel are required. When installing an auxiliary fuel pump it is a good idea to complete the job with a high flow pickup. Click here for more details.
