The Whiteside County Fairgrounds is located at 201 West Winfield Street, Morrison, IL.
Morrison is at the intersection of U.S. Route 30, Lincoln Highway, and IL Route 78, five
miles north of Interstate 88. Morrison is 15 miles East of Clinton, Iowa; 70 miles Southwest of
Rockford, IL; 100 miles North of Peoria, IL and 140 miles West of Chicago, IL.
Directions to the Fairgrounds from the South: Follow IL Route 78 North into Morrison.
Turn left at the second street after entering Morrison city limits. This is Winfield Street. Go
seven blocks and the main entrance will be on your left.
Directions to the Fairgrounds from the West and North: Follow U.S. Route 30 East to
Heaton Street, where a sign is posted directing you to fairgrounds. Turn right on to Heaton
Street and follow for seven blocks. Heaton Street will merge with Winfield Street. Go four
blocks on Winfield Street and the Main entrance will be on your right.
Directions to the Fairgrounds from the East: Follow U.S. Route 30 to the intersection of
IL Route 78. This is a 4 way intersection with traffic lights. Turn South onto IL Route 78 and
continue South for 2 blocks crossing the Rail Road tracks. IL Route 78 veers left, just after
the tracks, continue south, do not follow IL Route 78. At this point, you are on South Cherry
Street. Proceed 7 blocks which will bring you to a stop sign at the intersection of Winfield
Street. Turn right onto Winfield and proceed 3 blocks. The Main entrance to the Fair
grounds will be on your left.
The Main entrances to the Fairgrounds are off of Winfield Street. However, during
Fair week, Winfield Street is closed within a few blocks of the fairgrounds to help
control traffic. Entrance may be made by car off of the first street north of Winfield
Street which is South Street. Signs and barricades will be present to mark the
route into the fairgrounds during these times.
